Pittsfield Public Library

Pittsfield, Maine

This remarkable Beaux Arts style library was constructed in 1903 and is one of several libraries in Maine where the funding for construction came from Andrew Carnegie. As with many small libraries, there is a need for additional space to effectively serve library users. As a first step, we prepared a conditions report addressing current repair and maintenance needs for the existing building. We then prepared preliminary expansion concepts for the committee’s consideration.
